Gerda Geddes Fund Application

If you’re reading this page, we hope you are interested in applying for funds.  We have sought to make the process clear to encourage our Instructor Members to apply and be successful but if you have any questions please contact us at enquiries@taichiunion.com.

Applications for a grant must be made and approved prior to incurring any expense.

If you apply for a grant you will need to give us the following information for the project or event etc. which needs support

  • What is the project that needs funding
    • For example, a workshop for refugees, working with a school in a deprived area, providing a series of classes to help combat social isolation
  • What aspects of the project need financial support
    • For example, hall hire, travel costs etc.
  • Amount of Funding Required (maximum £500)
  • Who will benefit from the project
  • How you think the project or event may add to the quality of life and wellbeing of participants
  • When the project will take place

Please supply as much supporting information as you can for your application such as associated costs, support from community leaders or other local organisations etc.

The more evidence you can supply the more likely you are to be successful!

All successful applicants are expected to provide a brief summary after the event which can be used for a magazine article on how the funds have been used and the benefits derived.
