Standards and Ethics

Members of The Tai Chi Union for Great Britain C.I.C. are expected to meet certain standards which can be found in our Standards and Ethics policy

Complaints Process

If you have a complaint about a member then please make sure you read the Complaints Process which states the information you may need to give us and will help you to understand what happens afterwards.

Please note that we can only investigate your complaint if it is about a member of the Union and it concerns that member’s conduct in relation to the Union Standards and Ethics.

Classes of Membership

Our Articles of Association define 3 Classes of Membership

  • Full members can vote and stand for the Board
  • Voting members can only vote (and NOT stand for the Board)
  • Associate members can neither vote nor stand for the Board

For members living in United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, Class of Membership is assigned depending on the whether the member has passed an assessment by the Technical Panel and the continuous and consecutive length of membership.  To understand more about this please see our policy.

All members who live outside the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man will be assigned to the Associate Class of membership.
